Dr. Michael Schwan is the head of global Siemens Power Technologies International (PTI) consulting business; managing a multi-national team of over 200 highly skilled consultants in the Energy Business Advisory and Power System Consulting practices. Dr. Schwan has over 20 years of industry experience in power systems across all voltage levels, for public and industrial supply.
Dr. Schwan holds a PhD in Electrical Power Engineering from Saarland University, Germany. He has numerous national and international publications, presentations, and work in technical committees of VDE, CIGRE, IEC, etc.

Dr. Tugcan Sahin is a Senior Management Consultant with over 15 years of experience supporting utilities, municipalities, and regulators in business transformation and strategy development in the field of energy management, smart grid, digitalization, and e-Mobility.
Dr. Sahin holds a PhD degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Economics, Electrical Engineering and Business) from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He holds an executive MBA from the Technical University of Munich, in corporation with the University of Tsinghua, Beijing, China, and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In addition, Dr. Sahin holds a PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Mr. Thomas Gereke is a Senior Cyber Security Consultant for cyber security assessments and implementation of IT security standards/methods (ISO/IEC27001, BDEW whitepaper, NERC CIP, M2M) in critical infrastructure environments. Dr. Sandro Aquiles-Perez is the Product Lifecycle Manager for PSS®CAPE, the leading software for power network protection simulation and analysis. PSS®CAPE belongs to the Siemens Grid Software portfolio offering.
Dr. Aquiles-Perez has been part of the PSS®CAPE development team for 16 years. He got his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada in 2006. His technical specialization and interests are in numerical relay modeling, protection simulation, and power system analysis and methodologies. Sandro is an IEEE member since 2000.
Senior Vice President, Siemens Advanta Consulting
Dennis is a Senior Partner and Senior Vice President at Siemens Advanta Consulting, based in the Munich office, and has been working at SAC for more than 15 years. Before consulting, Dennis worked for more than 5 years for Siemens Mobility in Germany and Brazil, with roles in Sales, Project Execution and Controlling.
Dennis holds a Ph.D. in Management/Entrepreneurship from the Technical University of Munich and a Diploma in International Business Administration from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (DE) and Babson College (USA).
In his role as head of the Energy vertical, Dennis is advising clients in the Power Generation, Oil&Gas and Utility sectors, where he has gained relevant experience from strategy definition, large-scale transformations, and turnaround management to digitalization with projects around the globe. Working with his teams to leverage technology for the Energy transformation, the focus is on implementable results and client impact – key elements of the DNA as a former leading inhouse consultancy.

Dr. Stefan Kneip is a Vice President and Partner at Siemens Advanta Consulting. In his role for New Energy Technologies, he is a passionate strategist and organizational developer, with more than a dozen years of experience in strategy and management consulting. He is leveraging his strong technology and R&D background in the energy and health sector in order to make real what matters. Stefan holds a Ph.D. degree in Physics from Imperial College London and a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
At present, Stefan is advising industries on key transformational topics in the energy space. A particular focus is the diverse challenges of the energy transition and pathways toward deep decarbonization. He helps clients address these challenges by leveraging Siemens’ deep domain knowledge and a broad technology stack, as well as a partner ecosystem around the world.
